Creative Writing Awards for 2008

Amanda Gotera '09, Ben Osburg '08, and Jamie Alper '09 Each year, Grinnellians compete for prizes and kudos in several creative writing competitions.

First prize winners for 2008 (shown left to right) are:

Award winners were recognized during a formal reading from the Grinnell Review, the College's mainstream journal of art and literature, on Thursday, May 8.

This year's winners and winning entries are:

1st prize, $100 given by the Academy of American Poetry

2nd prize, no monetary award
