Groups

Therapy groups based on interest are sometimes offered during the academic year. Watch for information posted or call the Poweshiek County Mental Health Center at 236-6137 or the Student Affairs Office at 269-3702 for more information.

Support and therapy groups provide a very effective environment in which group members can help themselves and others to grow and change, explore new ways of communicating, and deal with concerns and problems. Confidentiality is a key component of group work. Group members are required to commit to maintaining confidentiality about all aspects of the group when they join a therapy or support group.
