* = High Holy Day. Grinnell acknowledges and embraces the religious diversity among its students. The administration is aware that the academic calendar occasionally conflicts with religious High Holy Days. Faculty have no written policy to accommodate the religious obligations of some students, but are asked to consider student requests for excused absences on these days. Students are asked to notify faculty of syllabus conflicts early in the semester and to request permission to make-up work or to reschedule examinations if necessary.
