GRINNELL COLLEGE PRESENTS "VANISHING MARION" WITH PLAYWRIGHT ON SITE
GRINNELL, IA. - The Grinnell College Department of Theatre and Dance will present "Vanishing Marion," Mar. 6-9, in the Flanagan Studio Theatre of the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts on the Grinnell College campus.
The contemporary comic-drama written by Jeanmarie Williams explores the dysfunctions of family, food, and friendships. Director Elizabeth Bonjean, assistant professor of theatre, said the cast of 10 women and one man will share "the hopefulness that comes when we allow ourselves to see each other and to be seen."
Playwright Williams is expected to be on hand for Friday and Saturday performances. Curtain times are 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Admission is free but tickets are required and may be obtained at the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts ticket office (641-269-4444), beginning Mar. 3.
The Bucksbaum Center for the Arts is located at 1108 Park St. on the Grinnell College campus. Box office and ticket information is available at http://web.grinnell.edu/theatre/facilities/box_office.html.
