 | Italian Drawings and Prints
from the Castelvecchio Museum, Verona

In a collaboration with Iowa's sister state in Italy, the Veneto, the Faulconer Gallery presents an exhibition of 100 Italian master drawings and prints from the 16th through the 20th centuries, all selected from the collection housed at the Museo di Castelvecchio in Verona, Italy. This exhibition is presented with the assistance of Iowa Sister States and the City of Verona, Cultural Affairs Office, and supported by the Veneto Regional government. Production of the catalogue is supported by Fedrigoni Cartiere S.p.A. |

Joseph Mancuso and James von Minor
A collaborative installation by Joseph Mancuso (Houston, TX) and James von Minor (Baltimore, MD). As sculptors, the two artists seek out opportunities to create exhibitions together in which the individual pieces made by each of them and the ensemble as a whole are integral to the success of the final presentation. The artists prepared work in advance and traveled to Grinnell to create an installation which encompasses the entire floor of the Faulconer Gallery. Summer Ventis '02
Recent Grinnell graduate Summer Ventis is the 2002 recipient of the competitive 9th Semester Fellowship in Studio Art. During her 9th semester, she has developed her skill as a printmaker, with the guidance of Professor Tony Crowley. The Fellowship provides an extra semester during which an art student may explore ideas and build a portfolio in preparation for graduate school. This exhibition includes work completed by Summer Ventis during Fall 2002. |

New works created by Professor Tony Crowley which respond, in two-dimensional art, to the themes, emotions, and ideas in John Milton’s poems “L’Allegro” and “Il Penseroso.” George Frederick Handel’s adaptation of the poems in music have been an additional influence on the project. |
