Rebecca Stuhr studied baroque and modern flute with Kathleen
Kraft of Sebastopol, California and Cynthia Stokes of St. Paul,
Minnesota. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College, and the
University of California, Berkeley. She performs in a variety of
duos and ensembles, most recently with pianist Royce Wolf and
guitarist George Torres. She also performs as part of the folk
music duo, New House, with Mark Schneider. She has four
recordings, three of which are released with Centaur Records
(centaurrecords.com):
Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Sonatas
for Flute and Harpsichord, Opus 91; Benedetto Marcello, Flute
Sonatas, Opus 2; and Music for Flute and Guitar. Her most
recent recording, Joseph Bodin De Boismortier: Six Suites for
Unaccompanied Flute, Op. 35, became available this month.
Rebecca is the collection development librarian at Grinnell
College.
Kris DeWild plays many instruments including the piano, organ,
cello, and harp. She also plays the tenor saxophone in the Pella
City Band. She is Director of Music at the 2nd Reformed Church in
Pella, Iowa, playing the organ and directing the choirs. A graduate of
Central College and Drake University, DeWild studied piano under
Dr. Carol lei Breckinridge, organ under Dr. David Folkerts, and harp
under Mary Foss. She has also studied the therapeutic use of the
harp under Christina Tourin. DeWild teaches K-8 general and vocal
music at Pella Christian Grade School.
