Grinnell College's Hannah Wolf '08 has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Performer of the Week.
Wolf, a 5-foot-8 guard from Omaha, Neb., posted a pair of double-doubles last week to lead the resurgent Pioneers to a pair of league victories and run the team's overall win streak to four games. She opened her week with 28 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block during a 67-57 win at Knox on Wednesday. She then added 20 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals as the Pioneers edged Illinois College 81-80 at home on Saturday.
Wolf was 15-of-30 from the field, 6-of-17 from three-point range and 12-of-16 from the free throw line in the two games. In addition to taking over the MWC scoring lead (21.0 ppg) and ranking third the nation in three-pointers made per contest (3.06), Wolf ranks in the top 10 in the conference in rebounding (7.4 rpg), assists (3.41 apg), steals (2.00 pg) and three-point field goal percentage (.369).
