As a compliment to our student-athlete's academic experience, the Grinnell women's softball team provides an opportunity for intercollegiate competition and membership in a demanding program. Skills not normally stressed elsewhere are brought to the forefront during the season. Teamwork, cooperation, competitiveness, dedication and skill development are all facets of the experience. Each team member is expected to work hard and to do her best in practice and competition.

Each season will have its highs and lows, in terms of how one views success, but the overriding emphasis is on enjoying the experience. Hopefully, when players look back at their career as a Pioneer softball player they will remember the friendships developed, the new people and places they discovered and that they had fun.

The coaching staff and athletic administration are engaged in seeing that players make progress as students, as athletes and as individuals during their time on the team. Each spring our graduating seniors take the next step better prepared to meet the challenges ahead. Our softball alumni are fervent supporters of our program and eager to return to campus where they had so many enjoyable experiences.
