Grinnell's Fox is MWC Men's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week

Greg Fox's career with the Grinnell College men's soccer team has just begun and already he has a big honor to his credit. Fox '12 has been named the first Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week for the 2008 campaign after a stellar performance in the Pioneers' 5-1 home win over Coe College on Saturday. Fox, a keeper from Leawood, Kan., did not allow a goal and had two saves while playing the final 45 minutes of the game. He had a huge save on a Coe one-on-one opportunity that preserved a 3-1 Grinnell lead at the time. The Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week is Ben Vanden Avond of St. Norbert College.
