"What I most enjoyed about all the lectures was the freedom in the classrooms for all participants to exchange their ideas, which was what appealed to me about Grinnell in the first place. Another major benefit was having more time to meet Grinnell alums that had splendid stories to share. Attending Alumni College allowed me to more fully appreciate the Reunion events that took place later that weekend with a greater sense of relaxation, combined with the feeling that I had returned to my home."

Enroll as a student once again, but bring to class all that you have learned since you left Grinnell. Experience the Grinnell College of today alongside classmates of your day and other Grinnellians.
The annual Alumni College provides the opportunity to revisit academic life at Grinnell. During this two-day, seminar-style college, current faculty from numerous disciplines will lecture on a wide range of topics. Classes take place in state-of-the-art teaching facilities on a Grinnell College campus that, though fully in step with the requirements of educating students in the 21st century, nevertheless retains its mid-western beauty and charm.
Open to alumni, family members, and friends, Alumni College begins with lunch on Wednesday, May 28, followed by the opening lecture that afternoon. The final lecture will be Thursday evening. After breakfast Friday morning, Reunion begins. The cost will be $160.00 per person for the lectures, meals and housing; $135.00 per person for the lectures and meals.
Reconnect with former classmates and meet alumni from the 1940's through today while enjoying the intellectual challenge of a Grinnell education - without the grades.
Alumni College is learning for the joy of learning.
Alumni College occurs the Wednesday and Thursday prior to the annual Alumni Reunion.
