The Class of 2011 comes from 46 states, the District of Columbia, and 20 other nations. In addition:
- 55% of the new students are women and 45% are men
- 20% of the new students are U.S. students of color
- 14% of the new students are citizens of 20 countries other than the U.S.
- 15% of the new students are first-generation college students
11 different languages are spoken by members of the Class of 2011 including:
- Bangla, Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukranian, and Urdu
61 students in the Class of 2011 hold citizenship in the following countries (20):
- Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, and United Kingdom
