To complete your transfer application for admission to Grinnell College, the following must be completed and submitted by the appropriate deadline.
If you are applying to Grinnell for the first time or applied more than two years ago:
- The Common Application — all forms, including the Common Application Supplement and College Official's Report. Available electronically at http://www.commonapp.org. A printable version of the application and forms can be downloaded at the CommonApp site.
- Official Secondary School Transcript
- Official transcripts from each college or university attended
- Official ACT or SAT scores
- Two written recommendations from current or former professors
- $30 application fee (waived for electronic submission)
If you applied to Grinnell as a first-year student or transfer student within the last two years, you do not need to submit a new application to Grinnell. However, you do need to submit the following to reactivate and complete your application for transfer admission:
- A statement in writing with your name and current contact information, as well as the term for which you wish to apply (i.e. spring 2009, fall 2009). You will also need to state that you would like to reactivate your application for admission.
- Official Final Secondary School Transcript
- Official Transcripts from each college or university attended
- College Official's Report
- A brief essay on your reasons for transferring and/or your interest in transferring to Grinnell College.
- Two written recommendations from current or former professors.
