Because every college and university has its own unique personality, we encourage you to come experience Grinnell for yourself. If your schedule permits, please come during one of our Admitted Student Receptions, which feature activities for both you and your parents showing the real essence of the "Grinnell Experience." We are hosting these receptions on April 13, 20, and 27. Of course, we welcome you to visit Grinnell if you are unable to make any of these dates.

Our Admitted Student Receptions are Fridays when students, faculty, and staff host admitted students. In addition to staying in the residence halls and attending class, visitors are encouraged to attend lectures and discussions on athletics, financial aid, and all aspects of student life on campus. If you are interested in attending one of these receptions or coming to visit the campus at any other time, please call us at 800-247-0113. If you plan on participating in an Admitted Student Reception without staying overnight, please consider registering with our online registration form.

Admitted students are welcome to spend an evening on campus with a current student, but please note that our overnight housing space is limited and therefore will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis

Friday Reception Schedule for April 13, 20, or 27

While there are activities for your parents, if they are joining you during your visit to Grinnell College, they will have to arrange to stay off campus. There are motels and bed and breakfasts in the area to accommodate them during your stay.
