The Grinnell College Preschool serves both Grinnell College and the community of
Grinnell. The program helps children develop a positive self-image and learn basic
skills necessary to successful school performance, particularly through socialization
with other children, creative play opportunities, and experience with the basic
materials and media of creative self-expression. The program is committed to providing
an innovative curriculum, developmentally appropriate materials and activities and a
low adult/child ratio. Grinnell College students also gain experience with children
through class assignments, volunteer opportunities and as a part of the teaching team.
Grinnell College Preschool provides equal care to all children regardless of race, color,
religion, origin or disability.
