Associate Professor of Political Science, has a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Her teaching and her research emphasize U.S. party and electoral politics. At present, she is exploring ways to examine stress and politics, a topic with interdisciplinary potential.
In one way or another, all of the courses offered by Ms. Trish expose students to the methods of empirical and quantitative political science. (She really likes data!) Most of her courses involve a significant research project in which students collect and analyze data.
At Grinnell, Ms. Trish has a variety of involvements outside of the department, which include service on the Executive Council and the Wilson Committee. She is faculty administrator of the college 's Program in Practical Political Education (PPPE) and is actively involved in various efforts to enhance quantitative literacy.
