Samuel R. and Marie-Louise Rosenthal Professor of Humanities
and History, emeritus
Though retired, I am actively pursuing research on the sixteenth-century history
of a South German town, Memmingen. This requires familiarity with the paleography
and terminology of that era, and I am most happy to work with any students or
faculty who may wish to consult me on materials from that period. Please feel free
to call me at home, since I do not keep regular office hours.
