I interned with the museum's publishing house. My main project involved work with a book to be published in the fall called Heroes and Villains, which features well-known Britons of the past and present. Through contributing essays and art, these Britons are portrayed in both positive and negative lights. I wrote short biographies for the subjects and contributors, to be featured at the back of the book. I also organized images for an upcoming book on servant portraiture called Below Stairs, and did preliminary research for a proposed book about British travel writers. Thanks to this internship I am now highly interested in pursuing a career in publishing, especially within the context of a university press or a house affiliated with a museum.
