Paula Nuttall is an art historian specialising in the renaissance, with a particular interest in artistic relations between Italy and Northern Europe. She obtained her Ph.D from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London and was formerly a lecturer in art history at the British Institute of Florence. She is currently Renaissance Course Tutor for the Medieval and Renaissance Year Course at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and has taught at a number of British universities including Cambridge and the Courtauld Institute. She is the author of From Flanders to Florence: the Impact of Netherlandish Painting, 1400-1500 (Yale University Press, 2004).
