  Grinnell College
Student Educational Policy Committee

The Spring 2001 Student Educational Policy Committee (SEPC) consists of four members.
Chair: Jane Cherry '01
SGA Representative: Lauren Wolfe '01

At Large members: Jenny Cain '02 and Caleb Lindley '02

Current Projects and Goals

The German SEPC is to represent the views of the other German majors by performing various tasks. We evaluate faculty during review periods, help select new faculty for the department, propose curriculum changes, and organize study breaks, picnics, and other fun events.

We also send a representative to each Student Council on Curriculum (SCC). He or she represents the concerns of the department, reports new developments, and suggests changes to this campus-wide body. Another SEPC member represents the department at the faculty meetings to discuss curriculum.

Current Activities

We're tentatively planning an all-campus Love Parade (of Berlin fame) for later this spring.

This past fall we assisted with the 3-year faculty review for Professor Dan Reynolds. We also threw a pre-waltz Weihnachtsfest at German House.
