David Harrison
David Harrison, Director of the Center, is an Associate Professor of French who has taught at Grinnell since 1999, having completed a B.A. at Swarthmore College and an M.A. and a Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to his scholarly research in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century French literature and culture, Professor Harrison is interested in the processes, diasporas, and border-crossings that have defined the distinctive histories of the world. He has lectured on international education at both Grinnell and elsewhere.
